Q1: WHY BOXING?

At first I wanted to a football player because one of my first heroes was the great Jim Brown. But when I got into the Job Corps, I tried boxing just to show my friends that I wasn't afraid. Well, 25 fights and 1 year later, I was an Olympic Gold Medalist.

Q2: HOW DID YOU INVENT THE GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL?

I did not invent the grill. It was the George Foreman joint venture that marketed the grill under the George Foreman brand. We made it a better looking piece of furniture.

Q4: I HEAR YOU ARE A PREACHER. IS THAT TRUE?

Yes! I have been an ordained minister with The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ since 1980. I actually travel as an evangelist! The whole story can be found in "God In My Corner: A Spiritual Memoir by George Foreman."

Q5: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MIXED MARTIAL ARTS?

I think it is the number 1 growing sport in the country! The athletes are some of the most conditioned of any sport! Will it ever takeover Boxing? NO! It is its own sport! All they need is one great hero to further advance the sport. I would have been better suited to be an MMA fighter as opposed to a boxer!

Q6: WHY DID YOU NAME ALL YOUR SONS GEORGE?

I named all my sons George Edward Foreman so they would always have something in common. I say to them, "If one of us goes up, then we all go up together. And if one goes down, we all go down together!"

Q7: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO COOK ON THE GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL?

There was a time when I would have said instantly, "Half a dozen cheese burgers!" But my favorite thing to cook on the grill is salmon steaks. I love them! I can have them for breakfast, lunch and even dinner. And, my wife never complains about my health!

Q8: WHO WAS THE BEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF ALL TIME?

Joe Louis, and to be honest with you, there is no one in second place.

Q9: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS OF JOE FRAZIER AND MUHAMMED ALI?

There are no two people who better define sports in America than "Smokin" Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali. They both took our sport to another level and they are most responsible for the high paid salaries that all of us athletes receive today.

Q10: WHY DID YOU LEAVE HBO BOXING?

Well, I didn't actually leave, it was 13 years on the same job! The were so many other great athletes waiting in line to get my job I just had to move over and give someone else a chance. But, it was the most remarkable job I ever had.
